Continuing Education Program for Judges and USDF "L" Graduates - Upgrade Your Judging Eye II



The Continuing Education Program for Judges and USDF "L" Graduates was developed by the USDF Judges Committee to provide continuing education opportunities, on a regional level, for licensed judges and USDF "L" Graduates.   
 Upgrade your Judging Eye II - Training through Fourth level
 When:            Saturday, May 19th from 9am-noon and 1- 4pm
Where: Raley's  (in the event center) 9am-noon

 Cost:             $5 Foothills CDS members.  All Others- $40 Includes coffee and pastries.
 The program takes place in a classroom setting, and begins with a 1 hour lecture, followed by practice judging (both movements, and full tests) and a Q & A time period.  Using the DVD and video, you will judge the tests from both the view at C and B, and discuss them with emphasis on the collective marks. Judges. L graduates, and L candidates should be prepared to judge full tests orally if asked.  
 At 1:00 pm, the class will resume at Blue Ribbon stables, where the topics will be continued using live demo riders, training through FEI level.   Program concludes at 4 pm.
 Additional USDF $5 fee for the 1 University Credit

Instructor Bio: Trenna Atkins has been instructing and training Dressage for over 35 years, riding and competing horses from Training through FEI. Trenna has been a USEF judge since 1986 and has been a "Senior" rated judge for seven years.  As a rider, Trenna earned her Bronze and Silver medals with USDF and has won Regional and National awards, including two National USDF Horse of the Year Awards in Musical Freestyle. Many of Trenna's students have also won USDF Regional Championships and have achieved their USDF Bronze and Silver medals. Her instruction clients have included many adult amateurs, FEI young riders, and eventing students and enjoys teaching all levels of dressage.  In 2003, Trenna became part of the Faculty for the Learner Judges Program of USDF and is especially interested in helping to improve the use of multimedia in training Dressage Judges.
  Directions
 Raleys Event Center, 4840 San Juan Ave. Fair Oaks, CA
 Hwy 80, exit on MADISON AVE, go east.  Turn Right (south) on SAN JUAN AVE.
Store is on your left, before the intersection of San Juan and Sunset.
Once in the store, go past the pharmacy, turn to your left, and the Event Center is the room on your right.

 From the Raleys Event Center: Continue south on SAN JUAN AVE. Turn right on WINDING WAY.  Turn left onto MASON LN.  Blue Ribbon stables is on your left.
 From Marin County: Take Hwy 80 east.  Take the AUBURN BLVD exit- EXIT 94B Turn RIGHT onto AUBURN BLVD. Turn LEFT onto WINDING WAY. Turn RIGHT onto MASON LN.
 From East of Sacramento: Take HWY 80 west.  When 80 splits after the Madison Exit, stay to your right, and take the AUBURN BLVD exit. Turn RIGHT onto AUBURN BLVD. Turn LEFT onto WINDING WAY. Turn RIGHT onto MASON LN.
