Continuing Education Program for Judges and USDF "L" Graduates - Upgrade Your Judging Eye 1
& Fix-a-test Clinic

The Continuing Education Program for Judges and USDF "L" Graduates was developed by the USDF Judges Committee to provide continuing education opportunities, on a regional level, for licensed judges and USDF "L" Graduates.
Upgrade your Judging Eye I - Training through Fourth level
When:            Saturday, January 27 from 11am-6pm
Where:           Mark and Monica’s pizza 4751 Manzanita Avenue, Carmichael, 95608
Cost:             $25 for Judges. L graduates, and L candidates

$20 for auditors

The program takes place in a classroom setting, and begins with a 1 hour lecture, followed by practice judging (both movements, and full tests) and a Q & A time period.  Using the new “on the Levels DVD”, you will judge the tests from both vantage points (once from the side, once from the front,) discuss them, and then view them together. Judges. L graduates, and L candidates should be prepared to judge full tests orally if asked.  A minimum of two tests per level will be discussed.  We can use the judge commentary from the On the Levels DVD after the discussion so you will get that perspective as well.   Lunch (pizza) is included.
Additional USDF $5 fee for the 1 University Credit for Saturday only

Fix-a-test clinic -
Training through Grand Prix
When:            Sunday January 28 from 8:45 am-noon, and 1pm to 4:15 pm
Where:           Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center 7541 Sloughhouse Road, Elk Grove, CA 95624
Cost:             $50 for Riders
$20 for Judges, L graduates, and L candidates, and auditors
The program takes place at Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center.  Each rider will ride one test of their choice.  The test will be judged by Marilyn Heath over the loud speaker.  Following the test, the rider will have a 25 minute lesson on how to improve their test score.   The test will be scribed and given to the rider at the end of their lesson.  This clinic is filling quickly.  Please email ngm@water.ca.gov before submitting an application.
