We are one of the largest chapters in northern California with approximately 200 members.  Our chapter members come from a large area around Sacramento and the Sierra Nevada Foothills.  The majority of our membership is made up of Adult Amateurs, with a smattering of Junior/Young Riders, and a number of trainers, breeders, and other professionals.
General meetings are held every other month starting in February (please refer to events calendar, as times and days are subject to change).  The only exceptions are our April Awards Banquet, and our December Holiday Party, which are at different venues. We alternate locations in a meeting room between two pizza restaurants in Roseville and Carmichael.  Restaurant meetings are no-host. We plan to have a speaker/program at each meeting, which is announced on our website and through our membership email notices.
The Foothills Chapter puts on shows every year as fund raisers for the chapter.  Shows are generally one star or schooling shows, and have been held at Pacific Equestrian Center in Wilton, CA.  Shows are manned by volunteers from the membership. Annual high point awards are given to qualifying chapter members competing at chapter sponsored shows.
We are always looking for ways to better serve our members through clinics, educational speakers at meetings, and other chapter sponsored events. This year we are hosting a Freestyle Clinic in March with Cynthia Collins. In the Fall we are planning a silent auction as a fund raiser for our chapter.
